Available in black or red colour - however there is no difference in the flavour between black or red, the flavour is all in within the product and not the colour.

The best aniseed balls in years

When I was young aniseed balls were one of the cheapest sweets. Four for a penny. Gradually they became hard to get. I managed to get some in Echuca but then they too disappeared. I got some red ones and they only had flavour in the outer layer. Inside they were insipid.
When I saw these I wasn't confident but I thought it was worth the risk.
Well it definitely was. I was enjoying one last night. With that full rich peppery aniseed flavour all the way through. A flavour that lingers on the palate even after the sweet is gone.
They are hard and last a long time. If you enjoy a sweet but shouldn't have too many (old age is a killer) then you can get a lot of enjoyment from a single sweet.
If you, like me, remember them from your youth you will NOT be disappointed in these. They are the real thing.
The only problem is that you will want to buy MORE of them.
